How do I start a transaction?

Starting a transaction is easy. Simply click "Start a Transaction" on our homepage, select your transaction type, enter the transaction details, and invite the other party. Once both parties agree to the terms, the buyer submits payment and the transaction begins.

Can I cancel a transaction?

Yes, transactions can be cancelled if both parties agree, or if the terms of the escrow agreement allow for cancellation. If a transaction is cancelled before the seller delivers the goods or services, the buyer receives a full refund minus any applicable fees.

What happens if there is a dispute?

If a dispute arises, both parties can submit evidence and their position to our dispute resolution team. Our experienced professionals will review all information and make a fair determination based on the escrow agreement terms and evidence provided. Most disputes are resolved within 5–10 business days.

Can I track my transaction status?

Absolutely! You can log into your TrustGuard Pro account at any time to view real-time updates on your transaction status. You'll also receive email notifications at each major milestone of your transaction.

What is an inspection period?

An inspection period is a predetermined timeframe during which the buyer can inspect the merchandise or service to ensure it meets the agreed-upon terms. If the buyer is not satisfied, they can reject the transaction during this period and receive a full refund.

Can I modify the terms of a transaction after it has started?

Yes, transaction terms can be amended if both parties agree in writing through the platform. Any changes to the transaction amount, inspection period, or delivery terms must be mutually accepted before they take effect.

What is a milestone-based transaction?

A milestone transaction allows large projects to be broken into smaller phases, each with its own payment. Funds are released incrementally as each milestone is completed and approved by the buyer. This is ideal for freelance projects, software development, construction, and consulting engagements.

How does a domain name escrow transaction work?

The buyer and seller agree on a price. The buyer deposits funds into escrow. The seller initiates the domain transfer to the buyer's registrar. Once the transfer is confirmed, TrustGuard Pro releases the funds to the seller. The entire process typically takes 3–5 business days.

What happens if the seller fails to deliver?

If the seller does not deliver within the agreed timeframe, the buyer can initiate a cancellation request. After review, TrustGuard Pro will return the full payment to the buyer. Sellers who repeatedly fail to deliver may have their accounts suspended.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept wire transfers (domestic and international). Wire transfers are the most reliable and fastest method for large transactions and are available to all verified account holders.

How long does it take for my payment to be processed?

Wire transfers typically take 1–3 business days to be confirmed and reflected in your escrow account. Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution and the originating country.

When will the seller receive payment?

The seller receives payment after the buyer has inspected and accepted the merchandise or service, or after the inspection period has expired without rejection. Payment is typically released within 24 hours of acceptance.

Are there any payment limits?

Transaction limits vary by account verification level. Wire transfers have no upper limit for fully verified accounts. Contact our team for high-value transactions requiring special arrangements or expedited processing.

What currencies do you support?

We support USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, and many other major currencies. Currency conversion is handled automatically at competitive exchange rates. Please contact our team for specific currency availability in your region.

Can I pay in installments?

Installment payments are supported through our milestone transaction feature. Each milestone can have its own payment amount and schedule, allowing buyers to pay in stages as work is completed and approved.

What happens to my funds while they are in escrow?

Your funds are held in FDIC-insured trust accounts at major financial institutions. They are completely segregated from TrustGuard Pro's operating funds and earn no interest for the company. Your money is safe and accessible at all times per the escrow agreement.

How do I receive my payment as a seller?

Once the buyer approves the transaction, TrustGuard Pro will release the funds to your designated bank account via wire transfer. You will receive a notification when the release is initiated and when the funds have been sent.

How secure is my money with TrustGuard Pro?

Your funds are extremely secure. All customer funds are held in FDIC-insured trust accounts at major financial institutions. We never commingle customer funds with company operating funds. Additionally, we employ bank-level encryption, multi-factor authentication, and are SOC 2 Type II certified.

How do you protect my personal information?

We use industry-leading security measures including 256-bit SSL encryption, secure data centers, regular security audits, and strict access controls. We are PCI DSS compliant and follow all applicable data protection regulations including GDPR and CCPA.

What is your fraud prevention process?

Do you offer buyer and seller protection?

What happens if TrustGuard Pro goes out of business?

How much does TrustGuard Pro cost?

Our fees vary based on transaction type and amount. For most transactions, fees range from 0.89% to 3.89% of the transaction value, with a minimum fee of $25. Domain transactions have special pricing starting at $49.95. Use our fee calculator on the homepage for an exact quote.

Who pays the escrow fees?

By default, the buyer and seller split the escrow fees 50/50. However, the parties can agree to any fee arrangement they prefer, including one party paying all fees. This is specified when setting up the transaction.

Are there any hidden fees?

No! We believe in complete transparency. All fees are clearly disclosed before you start a transaction. There are no hidden fees, surprise charges, or fine print. What you see is what you pay.

Do you charge for cancelled transactions?

If a transaction is cancelled before the seller ships or delivers, we charge a small cancellation fee (typically $25–$50) to cover administrative costs. If the transaction is cancelled due to seller non-performance, the buyer receives a full refund with no fees.

Are there volume discounts available?

Yes! We offer discounted rates for high-volume users, businesses, and partners. If you process multiple transactions per month or have large transaction values, contact our sales team to discuss custom pricing tailored to your needs.

Are there fees for wire transfers?

Incoming wire transfers are free of charge. Outgoing wire transfers (when funds are released to the seller) may incur a small processing fee depending on the destination bank and country. All applicable fees are disclosed before the transaction is finalized.

Is there a fee to open an account?

No. Creating a TrustGuard Pro account is completely free. You only pay fees when you initiate or participate in an escrow transaction. There are no monthly subscription fees or maintenance charges for standard accounts.

Do fees change for international transactions?

International transactions may have slightly higher fees due to currency conversion and cross-border wire transfer costs. All applicable fees are clearly shown in the transaction summary before you confirm. Our fee calculator supports international transaction estimates as well.
